Magnit becomes Russian 1st chain with sales area above 10 mln sq m
KRASNODAR, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- Grocery retailer Magnit has become the first ever Russian retail chain with the combined sales area of its stores of more than 10 million square meters, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The sales area of the Magnit convenience stores stands at 6.5 million square meters, of the Magnit Cosmetics drogerie stores at 1.8 million square meters, of the Magnit Family supermarkets and the Magnit Extra superstores at 980,000 square meters, and of the Dixy convenience stores to 735,000 square meters, the company said.
As of the moment, Magnit manages more than 29,000 stores of different formats that are located in more than 4,200 cities, towns, villages, and different localities of seven out of the eight federal district of Russia.
